Aquacel Dressing

Method of use

Method of use

Choose Aquacel dressing that larger than wound and attach it. Then use secondary dressing or bandage to hold all in place.

On lightly exuding wounds moisten the area over the wound with sterile water.  If large quantities of exudate are on the wound, a simple absorbent dressing pad may be needed. As the wound heals, a thinner pad is required, just to help conserve moisture. This is to prevent wound from drying out to fast.

Deeper wounds or sinuses can be dressed with Aquacel Ribbon. We must watch out that is in place and not packed in too tightly. 80% of the cavity should be filled with the dressing.

Because of the “needle bond” process used in its construction, the dressing has significant wet strength. This means that can be very easy to reomve the dressing. This may be accomplished without patient to feel uncomfort.
